Favorite Activity: Running Up Trees

Fun Fact: Not only is Genevieve gorgeous, she is also a very sweet and silly cat! She’s very friendly, but can get pretty wild zoomies. She will sometimes run all around our vertical catification, including scaling the big tree in our front window–always such a treat to watch! Then, she’ll wind down by taking a long nap on a heated bed.

Genevieve came to A Sanctuary Cafe as part of a family of eight cats. They were all relocated to Boston after being rescued from an overcrowding situation in Florida. Already familiar with being in close quarters with cats, they quickly found their footing amongst our other resident cats and bonded with their new human family as well.

A loving and maternal cat, Genevieve will sometimes eschew the traditional finger-sniffing greeting that we require all guests use when introducing themselves to our cats for the first time, and instead go straight to licking their proffered finger as though they are her kittens. She looks after all of the cats she came in with, but isn’t afraid to dole out the discipline (quick little bops with her claws retracted) when necessary.
